Jason E. Searns

Jason Searns has practiced law for over twenty-five years and is a managing partner of Macey Searns LLC. He served as Special Counsel to The Law Offices of James Sokolove in Boston, Massachusetts, where he was National Ethics Counsel and was responsible for the establishment of the first truly national law firm in the United States with offices in fifty-one jurisdictions in 2007.

Previously, Mr. Searns was General Counsel/Executive Vice President of We The People USA, Inc. for nine years. He has extensive experience in state regulatory and ethics issues involving the unauthorized practice of law, fee sharing and consumer protection.

Mr. Searns’ previous experience includes his work as an Assistant District Attorney in Buffalo, New York, a litigator for the large New York law firm of Phillips, Lytle, Hitchcock, Blaine and Huber and Special Counsel to the Legal Center in Denver, Colorado, a protection and advocacy group for the rights of the disabled. Mr. Searns was profiled in a 2002 article by the National Law Journal and he authored the nationally published book, Public Accommodations Under the Americans With Disabilities Act, published by the West Group.

Mr. Searns is a magna cum laude graduate of Case Western Reserve University, holds a Masters in Politics from Lancaster University (England) and a J.D degree from the University of Toledo, College of Law. He is admitted to the Colorado bar and is a member of the American Association for Justice.

Thomas G. Macey

He is a managing partner in the law firm of Macey & Aleman, the largest consumer bankruptcy firm in the country as well as a managing partner in the firm of Macey Searns. He has been an innovator in regard to the role of the internet for the marketing of legal services producing unprecedented results in attracting more than 40,000 potential clients in 2007. Mr. Macey is admitted to practice law in the state of Illinois and graduated from the Miami University (Ohio) (B.A.) and from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign School of Law (J.D.).
