Oral Metoclopramide

Oral metoclopramide, trade name Reglan, has been approved by the FDA for the short-term treatment of severe nausea and vomiting associated with GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease), diabetic gastroparesis, and severe side-effects of cancer treating chemotherapy. However, a severe and often permanent neurological disorder of Reglan Drug is tardive dyskinesia, which is associated with involuntary facial twitches and uncontrollable finger movements.
