Reglan Induced Seizures
The gastrointestinal drug Reglan has been found to induce a series of negative side effects if taken for longer than a 3 month period. One of these unfortunate effects can result in erratic seizures. While not lethal in most cases, the effects are overtly debilitating. Reglan induced seizures may result from an overdose of Reglan, which can also cause uncontrolled muscle movements in the face or neck.
Even after consumption of Reglan has ceased, it is possible for some of these effects to continue. In the most serious cases, patients have developed tardive dyskinesia, which is permanent and untreatable.
